We served 60+ wines at the most recent Elmwood Wine Walk (we know! Insanity!), and one wine was the decisive breakout hit: you’re looking at it. Even on a sunny day that all but called out for rosé? The wine people couldn’t stop loading up on was this biodynamically farmed Primitivo from Puglia, the heel of Italy's 'boot.' The wines are made by a father and son team with the upmost respect for the land and culture around them. Boysenberry, violet, mocha, and black olives, this is a soft and juicy pleasure with a rustic-spicy finish. Serve with tomato-anything and feel like a genius, or just drink it!
