Pipeño is a Chilean term referring to 'a refreshing wine,' translated to low alcohol, always from the grape País and aged in barrels made of local lumber called raulí. Maurico Gonzalez is organic and dry farming País in the Bio Bio Valley. Without the use of modern additives or sulfur at any point in his winemaking making this wine even more remarkable for its freshness and quaffability. It reflects a lively, earth-driven spark similar to Beaujolais-Village, except with a touch more tannin stoicism.
