It’s one thing to appreciate organic and biodynamic wines... but would you risk jail for your principles? One man did: Emmanuel Giboulot. Convicted in 2014 for refusing a government order to spray crops with pesticides, he was vindicated when the the decision was reversed on appeal. His ‘Lulunne’ is made of 100+-year old vines farmed biodynamically on clay & limestone soils, and the results are as you’d expect: structure, mineral purity and transparent, concentrated fruit. Dark cherries, red plums, roses and violets are all here. Roast a chicken and raise a glass to the principled among us!
