This one’s a tragic beauty: Stephane Moreau was arguably *the* rising superstar of Chablis, the most dynamic young grower/maker in some time, and his wines were things we fought over and coveted. He passed away in late 2016 at a very young age, so this is the last vintage he made himself. The Forêts cru is famous in Chablis for its limestone-driven power, and this is a wine of intensity, focus and concentration. Seashells, white flowers, and a nervy zip. (This will age gloriously, but the 15 vintage is also made for immediate pleasures!)
