If we asked Deep Blue to crunch the numbers on VB's single most pleasure-giving wine under $15 for the past decade? We wouldn't be surprised if it blip-blooped back the Chasseur des Brousses as its answer. Data aside? We’ve been cozying up to this freakishly seductive Grenache-Merlot blend for years, and the new vintage is as good as it's ever been. The aromas have no business being this sexy for the money: blackberries, strawberries, & cracked pepper, fershur. But spiced chai? How about dried lavender, thyme, rosemary, and fresh rain? A bizarrely beguiling southern French red for the dough, this is delicious and almost soulful stuff. At least for us bipedal carbon-based intelligences; sorry, Blue!
