6 bottles of 2019 Bow & Arrow 'Time Machine'
Does winemaker Scott Frank own a Tardis? Is he just really into the Chambers Brothers 11-minute psychedelic magnum opus "Time Will Come Today" (TIME! TIME! TIME! TIME!)? Or is he gently encouraging us drinkers to think beyond single vintages, and towards deliciousness instead? His Bow & Arrow has carved a different path in Willlamette, aiming at juicy-crunchy Loire-ish wines instead of fat Burgundy approximations. This, their version of a Cheverny-esque blend of Pinot, Gamay, and Cab Franc is natty, tangy, and soul-enlivening like very few US wines we know. Roast a chicken, pop this, add the quantum theory to gravity and travel the multiverse: it's possible.
