Sometimes you just need a little extra beauty in your life. Especially in times like these when it's ever-more important to remind ourselves that Life. Is. Beautiful. We find that wine in general is a helpful reminder to tune in and take a moment to "smell the roses" (for lack of a better phrase) and get lost in your glass, get transported to a faraway vineyard, get closer to nature... all while sitting at your kitchen table. And when we really feel like we need an extra shot of beauty injected into our lives, we turn to Burgundy. Domaine Serrigny dates back to the late 19th century and is run today by fourth-generation winemaker, Marie Laure Serrigny. The culture in both the vineyard and the cellar is lutte raisonnée (i.e., minimal intervention). She works with some very old vines and she’s not afraid to wait for good ripeness. The result is a Pinot Noir deliciously rich with earth, spicy red fruits, and a bold mineral core. Let it breathe a bit before you enjoy and you will be rewarded. It's a thing of beauty.
